The Filtrific fixed skimmer allows you to have a finishing pool at the end of your stream and the water will all disappear into the filter tank when the system turns off. In nature, streams and waterfalls rarely end abruptly into
an expanse of gravel; they usually finish into a soothing pool. This subtle

#7 Fixed Skimmer in a Finishing Pool
Notice how the skimmer is hidden back under a rock. The top of the skimmer is higher than the rocks at teh bottom of the pool. The less rocks the deep er the pool. If you have a fixed skimmer in a pond you will always be able to keep the water level the same and if you slope the bottom of the pond up to almost the top of the Fixed skimmer it will make it difficult for fish to accidently go over the edge of the skimmer.
#8 Fixed skimmer when the water is turned off.
When the pump is turned off the water stops flowing over the top of the skimmer and water starts to drain down through the drain hole lower down in the skimmer.
#9 Water all drained out of the water feature.
Eventually all the water is drained out of the bottom finishing pool and into the Filtrific Filter and storage tanks.
